The Monastery of St. Nino at Bodbe

Near Sighnaghi village, the 9th-century the Monastery at Bodbe is the burial place of Saint Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia. It was formerly used as a coronation venue by the kings of Kakheti. This working convent overlooking the Alazani valley is surrounded by manicured gardens, and the interior of the main basilica is covered in frescoes.
