At a Glance
Coral Sands, a Harbour Island mainstay since 1968, is the island’s most family friendly resort (and the largest), but travelers have to know which accommodations to book.
Review
The resort’s three main buildings—Lucaya, Arawak and Caribe—contain most of the thirty-six guest rooms, which have been redone in a breezy, British-colonial style, some with gardens and balconies. Indagare members have preferred staying in one of the one- and two-bedroom cottages that are either right on the beach or come with ocean views. A casual beachfront restaurant, pool, and Boogie Boards and kayaks make Coral Sands the most family-friendly resort on the island. Couples who don’t want to see or hear children on their vacation should book at one of the more intimate guesthouses.
