Indagare’s Top-Booked Hotels: Winter 2023/2024

This winter, our Trip Designers are planning hundreds of trips around the world, and Indagare members will be going on epic safaris, sightseeing in European cities, skiing in the Alps and the Rockies and heading to far-flung, multi-week adventures in Australia and New Zealand. But when looking at our most-booked hotels for the upcoming season—which we’ve loosely defined as from December 1, 2023 to March 15, 2024—it’s clear there’s one thing on many travelers’ minds: sunshine. Of the top 15 properties, a staggering 12 are beachfront, and eight are in the Caribbean. Read the full list below.

15. Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla

Cinder-block buildings, a rock-climbing wall, and a seriously buzzy social atmosphere: Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla is far from the typical Caribbean flop-and-drop resort. Instead, it’s a haven for active types (a water activities center and sports pavilion offer plenty of options) and families who want a full-service experience that’s within easy reach of the U.S.

14. Jumby Bay Island, Oetker Collection, Antigua

Two miles offshore from Antigua, the exclusive, 300-acre Jumby Bay Island comprises 240 acres of nature sanctuaries and beaches interspersed with private villas. Some of them belong to Jumby Bay Island, Oetker Collection. The beloved resort hideaway has become a mainstay destination for Caribbean-bound couples and families alike, thanks to its various suite and villa categories, multiple restaurant options, plethora of water activities and an excellent kids’ club.

13. COMO Parrot Cay, Turks and Caicos

On a secluded private island, COMO Parrot Cay is one of Indagare members’ favorite Turks and Caicos beach resorts (scroll down for another). A barefoot-chic ethos pervades the property, from its whitewashed rooms and villas with four-poster canopy beds to the relaxed, but elegant restaurants.

12. Amanyara, Turks and Caicos

Within an 18,000-acre nature reserve on the main island of Turks and Caicos, Amanyara eschews traditional Caribbean vibes in favor of the Aman brand’s preferred take on ultra-sleek minimalism. A 164-foot-long black volcanic rock pool, freestanding villas, and snorkeling off the beach are particular highlights.

11. Raffles Hotel Singapore

Indagare travelers this winter are taking big trips to Asia, and many of them are breaking up their flights with stopovers in Singapore. The ideal home base: historic Raffles Hotel Singapore, which opened in 1887 and remains one of the world’s legendary hotels. Closed for two years for renovations, it reopened in 2019. The multi-million-dollar makeover added in 21st century conveniences and the left the teak and marble glimmering once more.

10. Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi

After a lengthy closure during Covid, Japan is back. And while exact itineraries for all Indagare members vary, most include a stop in the country’s sprawling capital. Their favorite place to check-in while there: Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi, which opened in 2020. Its 190 rooms and suites, Zen-inspired spa and fine dining occupy the top floors of a new high-rise opposite the Imperial Palace park. Indagare Review Coming Soon.

9. The Dunmore, Harbour Island, Bahamas

Bahamian charm is on full view at The Dunmore, a fresh and inviting boutique resort with just 16 cottages next to a pink-sand beach. Its palm-shaded grounds are a few minutes away from Dunmore Town, giving guests opportunity to explore by foot (or bike) and unwind on property—ideally poolside or on a beach lounger.

8. Six Senses Yao Noi, Thailand

On the shores of Thailand’s otherworldly Phang Nga Bay, with 42 tropical islands rising lazily from the Andaman Sea, Six Senses Yao Noi offers travelers privacy (lush jungle shields its 56 villas—each with its own private infinity pool), adventure (heli-tours, kayaking, and hobie catamarans are all available) and utter relaxation, with a signature Six Senses spa.

7. The Breakers, Palm Beach, Florida

looms large over Palm Beach—metaphorically as a veritable emblem for the posh resort town, and physically, too, with its iconic Italian Renaissance-style towers visible for miles. Indagare members—many of them snowbirds  return year after year to its beachfront perch, on 140 acres overlooking the Atlantic.

6. One&Only Mandarina, Riviera Nayarit, Mexico

’s chic treehouse suites and villas each have their own private plunge pool, either with Pacific or lush jungle views. Add in two beach clubs, multiple restaurants (including one from Pujol’s Enrique Olvera), a dreamy spa, extensive equestrian facilities and myriad land- and sea-based activities, and it’s clear why One & Only Mandarina has become a favored getaway for Indagare members.

5. Heckfield Place, Hampshire, England

In the bucolic Hampshire countryside, Heckfield Place feels worlds away from London, though in actuality it’s barely an hour away. This winter, Indagare members are heading to this restored Georgian mansion for a cozy retreat, making use of its new 17,000 square-foot spa and wellness space, The Bothy by Wildsmith.

4. Rosewood Mayakoba, Riviera Maya, Mexico

The northernmost resort in the sprawling mangroves of the Mayakoba complex, Rosewood Mayakoba promises tranquility, often served with tacos. The 129 contemporary-style suites and villas are either set along lagoons (reachable via boat), within the mangroves or along the beach itself.

3. Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Puerto Rico

The former stomping grounds of Laurance S. Rockefeller, Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve once welcomed the likes of Elizabeth Taylor and Joan Crawford. Today, the Adored Collection property welcomes a new generation of beach lovers to its palm-lined sandy shores.

2. Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, St. Lucia

Nowhere in the Caribbean quite matches St. Lucia for views: its lush Pitons—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—reach more than 2,500 feet into the sky, towering over the azure waters below. And for Indagare members, there’s no better base on the island than Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, whose suites and villas place guests just a few minutes from hikes on the dormant volcanoes. (Those hikes are all the more appealing knowing there is the resort’s nearly 10,00o-square-foot spa beckoning them upon return.)
