Narikala Fortress and Funicular

Established in the 4th century, Narikala Fortress stands watch over Tbilisi’s Old Town and the Central Botanical Gardens. Visitors can take the funicular to the top of the hill and should visit the Church of St. Nicholas inside the fortress. It was rebuilt in its original 12th-century style in 1996 after years of painstaking research.
