In the village of Sighnaghi, Pheasant’s Tears Restaurant is an authentic must-stop for those traveling around Kakheti. The food is local and organic, and while the meat dishes are phenomenal, the vegetables are the stars. The menu is seasonal, and dishes can be paired with Pheasant’s Tears natural wines—the restaurant’s sister winery that is credited with launching Georgia’s natural wine movement—which are made using 8,000 year-old traditional Georgian winemaking methods.

Pheasant Tear’s Restaurant, like the winery, is owned by John Wurdeman and partners.
