Togonidze’s Wine Cellar

Togonidze’s Wine Cellar is a renowned natural winery in Georgia, and its wines can be found at some of the best restaurants in the world. The vineyards are next to the Satlianiskhevi River, outside of Telavi in the Kakheti region. Winemaker and founder Gia Togonidze runs the winery with his family, and the warmth of Georgian hospitality can be felt immediately on arrival. Gia welcomes guests into his home, which doubles as a tasting room and cellar, and has views of the Alazani Valley and Caucasus Mountains in the distance. The wine tasting is followed by a delicious home cooked lunch served by Gia and his wife. The amber wines, in particular, are some of the best in the world. Some lucky guests may be allowed to try wine straight from the vat.
