Pheasant’s Tears Vineyards, Tibaani

See Website

Pheasant’s Tears Winery’s vineyards in Tibaani are based in the village of Sighnaghi. Indagare can arrange a vineyard tour where travelers will learn how qveris—large clay jugs—have been used to age and store wine in Georgia for over 8,000 years. Travelers will tour the vineyards and explore the cellar before sitting down for a tasting, which will most likely be paired with food. Tibaani is an excellent location to learn about natural winemaking. The vineyard is owned by Gela Patalishvili (winemaker and Georgian farmer) and John Wurdeman.
