In the village of Kondoli, winemaker Giorgi Gvardzelashvili focuses on creating natural, organic wines using traditional techniques and local varietals, including lesser used grapes like Ghghia. Giorgi doesn’t speak English, but a guide will translate. He’s a charismatic and superb host. His tasting room and cellar is adjacent to his home and his vineyards are in his backyard. Travelers get a taste of true Georgian hospitality when visiting this winery.
