Blue Canyon Country Club

Many golfers consider this the most challenging 18-hole course in Thailand, so it is understandably favored and, therefore, reserved in advance by visiting pros, Thai businessmen and local expatriates.

Indagare Tours: Outer Islands by Boat

One of Phuket’s biggest draws is its proximity to the serene beach landscapes of Thailand’s outer islands. Spending a day at sea is a ‘must do’ for any visitor to the area. With an Indagare specialist guide and your own private captain, embark on a boat tour of the immaculate beaches and waters of the Andaman Sea. In just 30 minutes, escape to the dream-like islands of Koh Phi Phi Le, Koh Phi Phi Don, and Koh Mak, where dramatic limestone cliffs and soft, white-sand beaches are scattered throughout the warm, crystal clear waters. Visit Koh Phi Phi Le (famous for being the stunning film set of The Beach) in the early morning before groups of tourists arrive. Bask in the sun and glittering water before navigating towards Koh Mak where you can learn about the island’s strategic value and spend time feeding bananas to the native monkeys. Stop for lunch at one of the many eco-resorts, like The Outrigger (, which sit on wide stretches of white-sand beach. Enjoy the later part of the afternoon swimming and snorkeling in the magnificent setting of the Andaman Sea. Indagare Tours: Sea Cave Kayaking

A first time must for any visitor to Phuket is exploring the sea caves, or hongs,of Phang Nga Bay. Depart from the Phuket’s Royal Marinain the late afternoon after the tourist crowds have gone and motor out to some of the most dramatic islands in the Andaman Sea on a traditional Thai fishing boat. With an expert guide, spend the later part of the afternoon exploring the caves, taking the time to swim, snorkel and discover as you go. Enjoy a spicy (as is customary of the southern provinces) and authentically Thai dinner onboard while the blazing sun sets behind the limestone cliff islands of this jungle-like national park. After dinner, just before the sun has disappeared into the sea, head back into a sea cave at James Bond island (colloquially named as such for being the set of a James Bond film) where you will present the Kratong, or offering, to the God of the Sea. While in the sea caves, be sure not to miss the phosphorescence, which scintillate in the water at night. This walk back in time takes urban explorers along narrow snaking streets past vibrantly hued Sino-Portuguese mansions and three-story shop buildings. Traditional Chinese pharmacies and hairdressers here would not look out of place on a 1960s movie set.

Thai Boxing

Bangkok is better known for watching Muay Thai, the national sport that combines kicks and punches in surprisingly artful displays. However, it can be a fascinating experience to attend a match in Phuket at Patong Boxing Stadium (Sai Namyen Road, Patong) where you are likely to be the only foreigners in the large, all Thai audience. Those who would get a kick out of trying to learn from a champion can even make arrangements to get in the ring. Contact the Indagare Bookings Team to plan a memorable experience.
