Despite its jet-set status, Capri is also an ethereal, soulful island with especially stunning, fragrant landscapes. In some ways, one need only look to Capri’s past and present visitors to understand that the island is a place that’s at once deeply stylish, a little moody, dreamy and brainy , and, above all, deeply Italian.

3 Days: Essential Capri
There’s something soulful and ethereal about Capri, especially its stunning, fragrant landscapes, but you have to understand its rhythms and how to escape the crowds. Indagare can help with a customized itinerary, including access to the island’s most exclusive beach clubs.
Day 1: Capri
Fly into Naples and board your private boat to Capri, a scenic ride of about 50 minutes. Transfer to your centrally located hotel; spend the afternoon recovering from the journey and wandering the island’s cobblestoned streets. It is imperative to have an aperitif in Capri’s legendary piazzetta, where the people watching is unsurpassed. Afterwards, enjoy dinner at a central restaurant that continues drawing crowds thanks to its great pizzas and lively ambience.
Day 2: Seaside Capri
With so many of the island’s alluring coves, rocky coastline and hidden bays accessible only by boat, no visit to Capri should be attempted without at least one jaunt at sea. Stop for lunch at a beach club, arriving in style on your private boat. Make sure to have beach chairs reserved so that you can lounge après-lunch with views of the Faraglioni—and of course, the Italian jetset around you.
Day 3: Anacapri Exploration
Wake up early for a hike with incredible views. The Sentiero dei Fortini is a stunning coastal path that starts at Anacapri’s Piazza Faro and culminates near a beach club, which incidentally serves a fantastic lobster pasta. Spend the afternoon exploring Anacapri, Capri town’s chilled-out little sister, and have a pair of leather sandals custom made for you—practically a rite of passage for any island visitor.
