Indagare Tours: Anguilla On Land

Although fairly flat and small, Anguilla offers a surprising wealth of scenery and terrains, making it a great destination for beach-goers and more adventurous travelers alike. Many parts of the island are still uninhabited, and lend themselves to excellent trekking, biking and ATV outings. Depending on the route, it is possible to find everything from lush rain forests, calm salt ponds and hidden caves as well as untouched beaches, coral blowholes and an impressive variety of wildlife. Indagare Tours: On the Sea

As Anguilla is small, with only 35-square-miles of landmass, cruising around the coast is a fun and interesting way to gain a different perspective on the island. Private cruises can be organized by sailboat, catamaran or motor boat, and are completely customizable. You might make your way out to one of Anguilla’s six off-shore cays, three of which even have their own restaurants (Prickly Pear, Sandy Island and Scilly Cay), making them to the ideal spots to drop anchor and roll out your beach towel for the day. Indagare members can contact our Bookings Team for help arranging a boat excursion.

Top Beaches

Anguilla is home to 33 beaches, all of which are public, making the island a great place to rent a car and explore on your own. A few notable mentions include:

  • Rendezvous Bay Beach – With powdery white sand, calm turquoise water and stunning views of St. Maarten in the distance, Rendezvous Bay Beach is a favorite of the island. Be sure to visit The Place for lunch, located on the far east side of the beach—the coconut snapper is exquisite.
  • Shoal’s Bay East - This pristine, two-mile stretch of sugary white sand has been named one of the world’s best beaches.
  • Maundays Bay – While smaller than a lot of the other beaches on the island, the cove-like shape of the bay protects it from wind and waves, making Cap Juluca’s beach very kid-friendly and one of the best places to go for a calm swim.
  • Sandy Ground – Although best know as the island’s bar and restaurant hub, Sandy Ground is also the departure point for most boat trips and a beautiful beach in itself.

Top Golf

Designed by Greg Norman, CuisinArt’s 18-hole course is a golfer’s paradise, with stunning views of the twinkling, turquoise ocean and St. Maarten in the background. Opened to the public in 2011, it remains Anguilla’s first and only golf course.
