This two-floor Korean-American deli and mini mart from John and Katianna Hong, both alums of Napa’s Michelin-acclaimed Restaurant at Meadowood, is rooted in the couple’s Korean heritage and deli memories from their respective childhoods in New York and Chicago. The concept: mix-and-match seasonal vegetable sides and pickled items inspired by Korean banchan and Italian and Jewish deli goods such as giardiniera-style pickles, egg salad and hot smoked-trout schmear. Some may find the prices a bit high for the size of the dishes but for diners willing to splurge a bit it is likely to be a memorable dining experience.
