From Major Food Group, the restaurant company responsible for downtown juggernaut Carbone, Midtown’s The Lobster Club serves Japanese-inspired brasserie cuisine in a sleek, stylish space. The pan-Asian menu at the Midtown hot spot offers a range of fare including sushi rolls, appetizers like coconut rock shrimp and lobster dumplings and teppanyaki dishes that are served hibachi style. As to be expected of any Major Food Group opening, the restaurant has attracted some big names: architect Peter Marino designed the space and the former chef of the Michelin-starred Sushi Azabu, Tasuku Murakami, is helming the kitchen.
