This modern bistro on Avenue George V just off the Place d'Alma brings a Silk Road sensibility to French cuisine. Named for an ancient province in Azerbaijan, Shirvan is a modern twist on a brasserie from Michelin-starred chef Akrame Benallal. He took the inspiration of the Silk Road and its blending of cultures and spices to create a menu that is ideal for sharing. Start with eggplant tempura with Moroccan spices or crispy rice from Iran and don't miss the tandoori chicken with mint sauce and lamb chops with harissa. Desserts continue the global melding with chocolate soufflé with saffron and orange and brioche "Lamona" with crème fraîche and caramel.
