Located in the former judge's quarters of the landmark 1782 Middlesex Sessions House court building, Sessions Art Club is one of London’s most refined hot spots. While the unique, minimalist menu curated by Chef Florence Knight satisfies every craving (favorites include squid with calamarata pasta and the croquettes), the standout is really the historic building itself. After entering through the unassuming red door flanked by lanterns, diners travel up an old lift elevator to an airy dining room that feels at once like an art collector’s townhouse and an exclusive club—and happens to have some of the oldest light fixtures in London. The dining room fireplaces make for an ideal spot to enjoy pre or post dinner cocktails or coffee. There is also a terrace, garden and rooftop bar. As befits the setting, Sessions Art Club doubles as an art and performance space with a seasonal program.
Note: Due to the restaurant's popularity, Indagare recommends making dining reservations well in advance.
