This charming restaurant on Via delle Zoccolette has its roots in crafting neighborhood-favorite street food like panini, and this style survives in Pianostrada's elevated menu today. The spacious, airy dining room is accented with fresh flowers, glass jars of fresh-baked treats and crisp linens and hosts a welcoming, friendly vibe. Try a sandwich made with fresh-baked bread and a plate of scarola ripassata, (escarole sautéed with raisins, pine nuts and olives). For dessert, get the pistachio gelato, if you're in the mood for something classically Roman, otherwise opt for some hazelnut macarons.
