“Metaxi Mas, whose name, tellingly, means ‘most delicious secret,’ is a local favorite. The tiny kitchen in the back churns out dish after dish for the crowd of locals mingling, laughing, smoking and drinking in a casual tavern setting. We asked the waitress to bring us the chef’s favorites; it was the best meal we had during our entire time on Santorini.
