The former home of Marquis de Lafayette, a 17th-century French general remembered for his efforts in the American Revolution and the French Revolution, was known for its social gatherings and banquets. Today, it houses Lafayette’s, a brasserie with French-African dishes, with a nod to North America. Led by Michelin-starred chef Mory Sacko, Lafayette’s creates dishes such as French truffled mac-and-cheese, Cajun salmon with grilled lettuce, and a Tex-Mex duck filet with fried potato-style taro.
Says Indagare's Ali Malecka: "Lafayette's is a new restaurant with embellished, candlelit interiors and incredible art (my favorite piece is a 1978 sketch by Joan Miró) in a former 17th-century townhouse. This place was suggested to me for a fun Parisian experience without the classic French food."
