With the farewell of the beloved Balagan, comes Kapara and the restaurant’s new slogan: “We did a lot of Balagan, we’re back, get over it!” The space at the Renaissance Vendome Hotel has seen a makeover, as has the menu. The cuisine is still predominantly Israeli and Middle Eastern and dishes such as lamb chops, octopus fondant, tuna tartare and fattoush salad continue to impress. The atmosphere remains vibrant and lively, resembling a restaurant-meets-nightclub, catering to a beautiful, youthful crowd. Can’t get a reservation? Grab a seat at the bar and enjoy a cocktail and mezze.
