Pl. des Vosges, 75004 Paris, France
Originally the Place Royale, Place des Vosges is one of the oldest squares in Paris, and a wonderful (and free) attraction in Marais. Take a walk through the garden, or under the arches and admire 17th-century architecture. The square is built around two pavilions, one of the Queen in the north, and that of the King in the south. They're not open to the public, but you can visit author Victor Hugo's former home, which is now a museum. There are lots of art galleries lining the Place des Vosges, and visitors are welcome to pop in and find unique treasures. You'll also find lots of eateries in Place des Vosges as well.
