Review

“Es Racó d’Artà is near my current residence on the island and it is a wonderful space, restored and managed with the care it deserves,” says Mallorca insider Rosa Esteva who founded the Palma-based brand Cortana. “It is quite an experience to get to know Mallorca through a stay like this, as the history that these places possess and their magic last forever and endow them with an indescribable and extraordinary magic.”

Guests can stay in one of the main house’s eight rooms or in one of the charming cottages dotting the forest, some of which have private pools. There is also a two bedroom house with a large swimming pool and private car park and a private three-bedroom villa with a terrace and infinity pool. Like most restored fincas, the design is rustic chic, embracing the simplicity of natural materials and leaning heavily into neutral tones and light-filled spaces. The restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine, with ingredients sourced from Es Raco d’Artà’s own organic farm and small local producers (even the beer is sourced from a local micro-brewery). There is an abundance of activities to do on property, all of which lean into simple Mallorcan living and healing. These include basket weaving, painting, clay art therapy, yoga, meditation and more. There is also a spa and the property hosts retreats throughout the year.
