First: Hiking

The First center offers access to a network of hiking trails, all varying in length and intensity with beautiful mountain and valley views. A map of the region will likely be provided by your hotel and can also be found at the Grindelwald First base—these maps include the time it takes for each trail leg, making it easy to plan out a day or half day in the mountains.

The easiest hike is to the lake at Bachalpsee. More grueling hikes include those to the peaks Faulhorn and Schwarzhorn. There are beautiful downhill hikes as well for a more moderate experience.
