Eiger Trail

With some of the most interesting terrain and views in the region, the 3.8-mile Eiger Trail follows the base of the dramatic Eiger’s northern face through a mountain meadow, all with beautiful views of the mountains and the valley. To get the most out of the scenery, we recommend taking the trail downhill, from Eigergletscher to Alpiglen. Those seeking a longer day may choose to add on the Panoramic Trail as well. There are multiple ways to reach the Eiger Trail, but to begin at Eigergletscher, visitors can either take the train directly there or take the Eiger Express and either hike the remainder of the distance or catch the train up one stop.

Note: The accessibility of this trail depends on the time of year. In colder months snow and ice can make this trail more dangerous.
