Brot's

In the small town of Poboleda, amidst narrow streets lined with stucco and stone buildings is the Michelin-starred Brot’s, a quiet restaurant with eclectic murals and wall art and a small but artfully crafted menu. Brot’s serves both an a la carte menu and two tasting menus—one more traditional and the other a bit more surprising, called the Brot’s menu—as well as a comprehensive, handwritten wine list with labels from across the region. The tableware is also part of the artistry: the chef’s appetizer may come atop a ceramic hand, symbolizing of the chef’s handiwork, while the small cookies served with tea and coffee at the end of the meal may be perched atop a small tree stand. The service here is excellent—sweet and accommodating—and the chef, who may greet you at your table upon arrival, is more than happy to swap out dishes in his tasting menu to accommodate dietary restrictions.
