Florence is not a spa destination, and even the luxury hotels generally don’t offer comprehensive treatments (the Four Seasons is a glowing exception). When the Kurdish-European doctor Zelal Elbistan opened Soulspace in 2007, it quickly became a favorite with locals craving pampering and relaxation. It has a Turkish bath, a lovely pool and six vaulted rooms offering a long list of treatments in surroundings so serene you’ll want to spend all day here, yet the location, close to the Duomo and most of the major sites, also makes it a perfect spot to disappear for a few hours and then meet the family for coffee. Indagare Insider Chiara Ferragamo considers it the best spa in Florence: “The best part is that it’s open Saturdays and Sunday.”
