Garrison Savannah Bridgetown Barbados
Horse races—another equestrian remnant from colonial times—are held Saturdays at the Garrison Savannah, a track located about two miles outside Bridgetown. The most prestigious of them all, the Sandy Lane Gold Cup, attracts jockeys and socialites from all over North America and is held on the first Saturday of March.
