Ancient Capital Anuradhapura

This Unesco World Heritage site is famous for its well-preserved archeological ruins that demonstrate just how far back Sri Lankan civilization spans. Anuradhapura is one of the world's oldest, continuously inhabited cities (it was founded in the 4th century BC).
