The best way to discover Palawan’s many glorious islands is to take a boat—ideally a banca or traditional outrigger—and spend a day hopping from one island to another. In El Nido, the limestone karst islands are particularly stunning, and some of them have lagoons you can access by kayak or a short hike. Most island resorts offer a complimentary island tour, or you can book a private boat trip with the concierge.
