ART/C – Closed Temporarily

Enter this residential looking building in Gueliz and in the back courtyard, you will discover a boutique and atelier that may seem more suited to Tokyo or London than Marrakech. In fact, the whimsical, statement-making and one-of-a-kind fashions in Art/c are sold at Dover Street Market stores in both of those cities, but they all come from this design studio. Men’s and women’s fashion for the avant-garde fashionista are dreamed up by designer Artsi Ifrach and hand-made by a team of seamstresses who work in the atelier beside the boutique. One look at half-Israeli, half-Moroccan fashion designer, and you can see the relationship between designer and label. Arsti is a unique designer whose pieces are expertly crafted. After successful forays in both Paris and Tel Aviv, he has returned to his roots in Marrakech. His shop can be hard to find but it is well worth seeking out if you like innovative, statement-making designs.
