Essential Hudson Valley
Experience the best of the Hudson Valley with a customized itinerary that includes special access, touring and exclusive reservations. Here’s just one example of what our travel specialists can arrange for you.
Day 1: Embracing Nature
Spend your first day in the Hudson Valley soaking in the magnificent natural landscape. Hike the trails (ranging from easy walks to challenging climbs) that weave through the forests along the river or head out on the water in kayaks or canoes. Afterwards head back to your hotel for a cocktail with a scenic view and a delicious dinner of local produce and game.
Day 2: Appreciating the Art
The Hudson Valley has long been known for its dynamic arts scene and is home to two world-class art museums. Visit Storm King Art Center, a plein air sculpture park with large scale installations from famed masters such as Alexander Calder and Isamu Noguchi. In the afternoon drive to DIA:Beacon, a sprawling museum that holds the important works of Andy Warhol and Richard Serra. You can also tour Olana, the spectacular estate of Hudson River School artist Frederic Church.
Day 3: Town and Shopping
Spend the day touring some of the charming towns that line the picturesque Hudson Valley. Particularly of note are Cold Spring, Rhinebeck and Hudson with their quaint shops and excellent cafés. In the late afternoon, stop at the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture to pick up gourmet delicacies or stay for dinner at the highly acclaimed restaurant.
