Every year, Vancouver ranks near the top among the world’s “most livable cities.” Thanks to interesting topography (the seaside port has both mountains and forested islands) and a diverse population and film studios, Canada’s largest westernmost city offers adventure, international cuisine and star power all its own.

Designing Your Journey
Work with Indagare to design the perfect itinerary for an immersive journey. Our travel experts know the destination inside and out, and they can make recommendations based on your travel needs and preferences.
3 Days: Essential Vancouver
Vancouver is a walkable city with a busy downtown area and a giant park to explore. With its diverse ethnic populations, it is also a top foodie city. This is just one example of the kind of itinerary Indagare’s expert team can design for you.
Day 1: Overview
Start your trip by observing Vancouver from above. One of the most exciting ways to see the diverse landscapes of city, mountain and sea is by floatplane: a single-prop, six-seater plane that takes off and lands on water. Then, take a water taxi to the huge Granville Island Public Market: a crafts fair, mall and farmer’s market rolled into one. Stroll through the lively stalls before heading back to the city for dinner at a local foodie favorite.
Day 2: Outdoor Excursions
Art and culture lovers should start their day at either the Vancouver Art Gallery or the Museum of Anthropology at UBC, which boasts an incredible collection of First Nations art. Then, head to Vancouver’s green jewel—Stanley Park—a 1,000-acre temperate rainforest jutting out into the ocean from the edge of the busy West End. A quieter option is to pack a picnic and spend the afternoon relaxing in VanDusen Botanical Gardens.
Day 3: Victoria Day Trip
Make your way to Victoria, the picturesque capital of Vancouver Island, via a 90-minute ferry ride from Vancouver. Explore the quaint city with a stroll through the Butchart Gardens, a tour of the impressive Royal British Columbia Museum and high tea at the venerable Fairmont Empress Hotel.
