As its shapeshifting skyline can attest, Canada’s first cosmopolis is in the midst of a growth spurt—one that’s resulted in revitalized public areas, a culinary renaissance (with design-forward restaurants popping up in brilliantly repurposed spaces) and a new wave of sophisticated hotels.

Designing Your Journey
Work with Indagare to design the perfect itinerary for an immersive journey. Our travel experts know the destination inside and out, and they can make recommendations based on your travel needs and preferences.
Essential Toronto
As Canada’s most populous city, Toronto offers a spectrum of urban adventure itineraries to please hockey fans and movie buffs alike. Here is just one example of what our destination experts can create for you.
Day 1: Top Sites
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a long walk to see the most famous sites of Toronto as you get to know your way around the city. Start at the CN Tower, which was once the tallest freestanding structure on earth. After lunch at an Indagare-recommended restaurant, spend the afternoon at the Art Gallery of Ontario.
Day 2: Culture Watch
Regardless of the season, make sure to check Toronto’s busy cultural calendar to see what’s on—the famed film festival is just the beginning. Most major sights, museums and performing arts venues are conveniently situated within the downtown core, making it easy to cover a lot of ground in a day or even an afternoon.
Day 3: Food Tour
Enjoy a special guided tour of the Distillery District. What used to be largest whisky distillery in the world is now a revitalized hub for boutiques, galleries and culinary artists. After shopping and tasting all the local flavors, relax at your hotel’s spa or enjoy a film at the TIFF Bell Lightbox before cocktails and dinner.
Where To Stay
We only feature hotels that we can vouch for first-hand. At many of them, Indagare members receive special amenities, including upgrades, early check-in, breakfast, spa credits and more. Look for the Indagare Plus logo in the reviews.

CN Tower

Distillery District
During its heyday in the 19th century, Gooderham and Worts was the largest whisky distillery in the world. After shuttering for good in 1990, the 13-acre Victorian landmark lay abandoned for nearly a decade, until civic-minded developers proposed a plan...

Its open-plan canopied interior was modeled directly on London's Victoria Station, but if you know where to look inside today's market, you can still see traces of Toronto's original city hall, most of which was swallowed during the market's reconstruction...
