Developed primarily by the Hollywood A-list during the golden age of cinema, Palm Springs is a desert oasis that continues to embody the style and elegance of the mid-19th century. Its mild climate and stunning views have drawn visitors for decades, but more modern opportunities, such as festivals, restaurants and resorts, make it even more attractive today.

3 Days: Essential Palm Springs
The Coachella Valley is an expansive stretch of desert, and while many of the resorts and restaurants are clustered around Palm Springs and Palm Desert, some of the sights to experience can be far away from the residential center. Here is just one example of what our destination experts can create for you.
Day 1: Tours
After a delicious breakfast at Wilma & Frieda’s, visit the Palm Springs Art Museum. Palm Springs is known for its “Mid-Century Modern” architecture, and Indagare can arrange a private, personalized architectural tour with the Palm Springs Architecture + Design Center to visit the former houses of iconic stars like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Elizabeth Taylor and more.
Day 2: Resort Relaxation
In the morning, ride the world’s largest rotating tramcar on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and explore the mountaintop more than 8,500 feet above the ground (and up to 40 degrees colder). Later, spend the day playing tennis and golf at your resort or soaking in the rays at the pool before dinner at a local hot spot. Avid golfers should also visit one of the most renowned courses in the country: PGA West at La Quinta Resort and Club.
Day 3: Joshua Tree Excursion
Active travelers should plan a day trip to Joshua Tree National Park, which is perfect for hiking, bouldering, rock climbing, camping and picnicking. Be sure to reach the panoramic vantage point at Keys View to see the entire Coachella Valley stretched out below you. Indagare can also arrange jeep tours of the famous San Andreas Fault.
Where To Stay
