Designing Your Journey
Work with Indagare to design the perfect itinerary for an immersive journey. Our travel experts know the destination inside and out, and they can make recommendations based on your travel needs and preferences.
5 Days: Essential Zurich
Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland, and it appeals to history buffs, businessmen, nature lovers, aesthetes and athletes in equal measure. Here is just one example of what our destination experts can create for you.
Day 1-2: Historic Zurich
Spend your mornings exploring the city with guided tours of Zurich’s historic neighborhoods like the Old Town, where churches, medieval fortifications and leafy squares present excellent photo opportunities. After lunch at an Indagare-recommended restaurant, stroll down Bahnhofstrasse, a bustling avenue that is the main shopping street, to the lovely Lake Zurich. Here, you can enjoy your afternoons with a relaxing private boat ride, or you can join a larger steamboat ride for an informative view of the city’s history and architecture.
Day 3: Lucerne
Take a one hour scenic drive or train ride through the alpine countryside to Lake Lucerne for the day. Amidst snowcapped mountains, this charming city boasts romantic medieval architecture, dreamy views, and a fairy-tale swan-filled lake —not to mention, excellent cheese. Be sure to visit the secluded, melancholic Lion Monument, one of Switzerland’s great treasures that commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred during the French Revolution.
Day 4-5: Explore Zurich
Experience Zurich’s vibrant art and culinary scenes with special access to the city’s renowned museums and elite restaurants. Of Zurich’s more than 50 museums, we recommend the impressionism-focused Kunsthaus. In the afternoon, visit the restored Viadukt, whose arches hold a collection of cool boutiques, restaurants and bars. You can also relax at the Dolder Grand Spa, which houses an onyx swimming pool and an array of infinity Jacuzzis. Before you go, be sure to stop at the exquisite Widder Hotel for dinner or drinks.
