The charming French village in the Haute-Savoie region is considered one of the world’s most beautiful countryside destinations. The ski resort was founded in the 1920s, but the town has medieval roots—and evidence remains, including the narrow, winding, cobblestoned lanes.

Designing Your Journey
Work with Indagare to design the perfect itinerary for an immersive journey. Our travel experts know the destination inside and out, and they can make recommendations based on your travel needs and preferences.
1 Week: Essential Megève
Whether in snowy winter or sunny summer, Megève shines. Here are three ways to best experience this gorgeous town and region.
Hiker’s Megève
In the summer the Pays du Mont-Blanc town of Megève shines, offering excellent hiking, mountain biking, golf and horseback riding. Indagare’s preferred hiking guide will lead you on treks with stops in the region’s best refuges for breaks and a traditional French picnic lunch. Plus, mountain goats abound in the region and your guide will be able to help track them.
Skier’s Megève
Horse-drawn carriage rides, polo tournaments played on snow, ice-skating in the village center and nighttime snowshoeing by moonlight: visiting Megève in the winter is a magical experience, even for non-skiers. Those who want to hit the slopes will find the runs in Megève more forgiving than other French resorts, and more extreme skiers can drive the 40 minutes to Chamonix, home of some world-class runs.
Glamorous Megève
With opportunities for private helicopter rides, excellent shopping, fabulous meals and luxe spas, Megève is a sybarite’s dream, no matter the season. Indagare can plan an ideal itinerary for those looking for a pampering trip with a high glam factor—with as much or as little activity as desired.
Where To Stay
We only feature hotels that we can vouch for first-hand. At many of them, Indagare members receive special amenities, including upgrades, early check-in, breakfast, spa credits and more. Look for the Indagare Plus logo in the reviews.
