With its walls clad in mirrors, large triangular bar, groovy soundtrack and fashion-model waitresses with an attitude, Momo tries to channel downtown New York City. The attempt at hip feels a little forced, but the restaurant’s spacious corner location near the Museumsplein and the shopping street PC Hooftstraat, together with its long list of fairly priced wine by the glass, make it a fun spot for a drink and a snack before dinner. The dishes, designed to be shared, reflect a stunning mix of cuisines and preparations that run the gamut from ceviche and pad Thai to grilled lobster and lamb cutlets. Stick with the fresh sushi, sashimi and innovative rolls.
