Private Tour: Vienna’s Largest Art Museum & Holiday Market

Enjoy a virtual, after-hours and private visit to Austria’s largest art museum and one of the most famous museums in the world, the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien (aka Vienna’s Museum of Fine Arts) guided by Sabine Haag, current Managing Director and tapestry specialist. The museum, which was completed in 1891, is just across the street from The Hofburg, the former Imperial Palace of the Hapsburg Dynasty—its original purpose was to house the Hapsburg’s extensive collections. Today, it holds the original works from the imperial family, and more, including the largest Bruegel collection in the world. During the tour, Haag shows you works from the Habsburg collection, the limited-time exhibition – Raphael, Gold and Silk, and she grants behind-the-scenes access to the museum’s restoration department. Plus, you’ll be able to see Vienna’s world-famous Maria-Theresien-Platz Weihnachtsdorf, the exquisite Christmas market that sets up directly outside of the museum every year.

Complimentary Gift: Guests received a sacher torte, the traditional Austrian chocolate cake.
