Serious fashionistas will be disappointed by the Amsterdam shopping scene. Savvy shoppers can turn up some interesting finds in the Nine Streets quarter and in the hip De Pijp neighborhood, but don’t expect Notting Hill chic. The one area where Amsterdam excels is design, whether old or new.
