Stores in Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo generally don’t open until 4:30 or 5 pm and stay open until midnight when the ports come alive with people who have been boating all day. Unfortunately for those who are in search of local crafts, Porto Cervo can really be described as a luxury mall with Cartier, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Cartier, Loro Piana, Miu Miu and Versace outposts mixed in with high-end boutiques carrying internationally known designer labels. The piazza has a lovely view over the harbor and cafés and restaurants where one can linger and take in the scene but for something a little more quaint and local in feeling, head to Porto Rotondo.
