This Journey's Host

The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) is a nonprofit membership organization with the mission to advance the appreciation and practice of the principles of traditional architecture and its allied arts by engaging educators, professionals, students, and enthusiasts. The ICAA’s membership represents the diverse and dynamic cross-section of all those involved with the building arts, from architects and designers, to patrons and artisans. These members benefit from the robust network of local and national programs and networking opportunities. The ICAA’s headquarters in New York and 15 chapters nationwide offer a variety of programming, including intensives for architecture and design students, continuing education courses for professionals and enthusiasts and the publishing of original and reprinted books. You can reach out to your local chapter to learn more, or visit www.classicist.org.

On this journey, you will be welcomed by the Director of Development for the ICAA, Caroline Slaten. Before embarking on a career in non-profit work, Caroline started in marketing, PR and business development for an architectural firm in Atlanta, where she became a Certified Professional Services Marketer. Caroline is an avid design enthusiast and she and her husband, a classical architect, divide their time between Manhattan and their 100-year old farmhouse in the Hudson Valley.
