Our time in Anguilla this year was packed with brilliant weather, crystal-blue water and powdery beaches. The people were friendly and unlike some Caribbean destinations, there are many wonderful restaurants.
My favorite discovery was the restaurant Steirereck in Vienna where we had one of the great meals of our lives!
This year I often thought of one of my favorite quotes by Mark Twain: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness.”
On my list for 2012: India and maybe a return to Salzburg. The Sacher Hotel and Pfefferschiff restaurant are outstanding.
